LAOC Women's Shelter Clinic

At biweekly legal clinics, LAOC staff attorneys offer free general legal advice to Women's Shelter clients and victims of domestic violence. Advice is generally in the areas of family law, domestic violence law, housing law and financial law. If the client is low-income and needs full representation, LAOC may take the case if the applicant is fully qualified. Victims do not need to be residents of Olmsted County to be seen at the biweekly legal clinic.

Application Process

A female victim of domestic violence can contact the Rochester Women's Shelter at 507-285-1010 to schedule an appointment at the Women's Shelter Legal Clinic. A male victim of domestic violence should not contact the Women's Shelter, but should complete LAOC's online application for an appointment. Please call Legal Assistance of Olmsted County at 507-287-2036 after completing the online application.
