Using LOON to Make Referrals

How is the order of the search results in LOON determined?

All the listings that fit your search criteria return in the following order:

  1. No Cost Lawyers
    • Coordinated Infrastructure Working Group (CIWG) services are weighted to appear first
    • All other listings coded as “No Cost Lawyers” follow; these remaining “No Cost Lawyers” results are randomized and the order changes every few hours
  2. Clinics
    • CIWG clinics are now weighted to appear first
    • All other listings coded as “Clinic” follow; these remaining “Clinic” results are randomized and the order changes every few hours
  3. Mediation
    • All listings coded as “Mediation” are randomized and the order changes every few hours
  4. Lawyer Referral
    • All listings coded as “Lawyer Referral” are randomized and the order changes every few hours
  5. Informational Service
    • All listings coded as “Informational Service” are randomized and the order changes every few hours

Which organizations are CIWG organizations?

Currently, CMLS, LADC, LAOC, LASNEM, LSNM, MMLA, SMRLS, and VLN are participating in CIWG.
